There are some diamonds that have captured the imaginations of the world because they are so big and because of their unique colorings. Amongst those diamonds are the following :-

The Golden Jubilee - found in South Africa and weighing 545 plus carats. The diamond possess a beautiful coloring of gold, with under tones of fiery red and a crystal clear soul. The diamond was bought by wealthy Thai investors for the septor of their ruler for his 50th anniversary of his reign. This diamond was cut in an underground location away from sound and vibration. The walls were painted a soothing light shade of green to relax the eyes and body of the gem cutter while he worked.

The Star of Africa - 530 carat diamond cut from the Cullinan Stone (the cullinan stone weighed over 3,100 carats uncut). The Star of Africa is found in the Royal septor of Great Britain.

Tiffany - 128.5 carat cannery yellow diamond originally from the Kimberley minning area in South Africa.

Hope Diamond - This deep blue diamond has a real mystique about it. Originally found in India in the seventeenth century as a 112 carat rough. It was reduced to 69 carats and sold to the King of France. Stolen during the French revolution and recut to 45 carats. Now it lives in the United States at the Smithsonian Institute.

The Golden Giant - a 407 carat champagne diamond from the Argyle mine in Australia.
